Dr. Tiffany Towers achieved her Doctorate in Clinical Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles while working for renowned forensic psychiatrist, Dr. Carole Lieberman. With over a decade of experience working in the field of mental health and forensic psychology, Dr. Towers has provided therapy within widely diverse settings across Los Angeles and Ventura counties (in her private practice office, substance abuse treatment programs, community mental health centers, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, home visits) and has given psychoeducational presentations and inservice trainings at the request of several organizations, including Elderly Behavioral Wellness Services, EB Psychotherapy, and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is licensed by the California Board of Psychology (CA License #PSY29475) and is a member of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA) and the California Psychological Association (CPA).
Dr. Towers received her Bachelor's degree in psychology and theatre from Barnard College-Columbia University and was graduated cum laude. Before pursuing her doctorate in psychology, she gained international theatrical training and experience in respected institutions and venues, such as Yale School of Drama, HB Studios, New York Film Academy, Santa Monica Playhouse, and the Malibu Playhouse Performing Arts Conservatory, to name a few. Her extensive theatrical training and experience, combined with her collaborations with several nonprofit organizations, inspired her dissertation research, which examined the impact of drama therapy techniques on veteran reintegration. Dr. Towers often incorporates drama therapy and narrative therapy techniques in her clinical work, in order to deepen her patients' insights into "the drama of life experience" and help them harness their creative instincts as they continue to direct their life stories.
